Five-Year-Old Birthday Kid Left Behind at Pizza Parlor Only Has Self to Blame

Houston, Texas --

When Johnny opened his eyes after he blew out the five candles atop his birthday cake at the local Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza restaurant, a look of disappointment came over his face. While his nine other brothers and sisters passed the cut cake around, Johnny got up from the table and dove into the ball pit unnoticed.

“He thought his birthday wish didn’t come true,” later said police.

“They’re all still here,” Johnny said to himself as he sunk deeper in the ball pit, momentarily disappearing entirely.

However when Johnny reemerged for what seemed to him just seconds later, popping up his head from a sea of colorful balls, to his delight, he found himself all alone and the pizza parlor entirely empty, closed.

As Johnny stepped out of the ball pit, he ran up to his table where just moments earlier his nine brothers and sisters were seated, singing him happy birthday.

“They’re gone,” said Johnny. “They’re really gone.”

For the first time in his life, Johnny finally got to play video games and eat without having to share with his nine other siblings.

The next day when the pizza parlor employees returned to work, they opened up shop to find Johnny still playing video games and eating leftover pizza.

“He didn’t want to leave,” said the Chuck E. Cheese manager.

Johnny would not even tell where he lived or give his telephone number or even his mother’s name.

“So we had no choice but to call the police,” said the manager.

When police arrived, they had to drag Johnny out.

“He was kicking and crying,” said police.

Through his tears and from the back of the police car, Johnny explained.

“I don’t want to go home,” Johnny protested. “I don’t want to share. You can’t make me share.”
